Sharing the Gospel with the Batwa

Evangelism & Church Planting

Evangelism is not one program among many at Hope Ministries Uganda — it is the root from which every other ministry grows. Everything the ministry does in education, maternal care, agriculture, and community development flows from the conviction that the most transformative gift the Batwa can receive is the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"

Romans 10:15

Throughout the year, the ministry holds evangelism outreaches, conferences, and crusades that reach thousands of people across Southwest Uganda and into neighboring regions affected by conflict and displacement.

Hope Ministries Uganda has planted churches in Rubuguri, Kasovu, Mukungu, Nyanamo, and Ntungamo — each congregation a living witness to the gospel's power to transform not just individuals, but communities. The ministry partners with 170 churches across Southwest Uganda, believing that the local church is God's primary instrument for ongoing transformation in every village and family.

The vision is to raise up Ugandan leaders who will carry the gospel further than the ministry can go — church by church, family by family, generation by generation.

"Proclaiming the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to a forgotten people, while meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are homeless or in need of hope." — This is the mission. Evangelism and church planting are its heartbeat.
