Land of Living Hope
Primary School

In 2016, through the faithfulness of donors and ministry partners, Hope Ministries Uganda purchased 100 acres of fertile, flat land in the Kanungu District of South West Uganda — near Queen Elizabeth National Park. What began as a field is becoming a village of redemption and restoration for the Batwa people.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

The Land of Living Hope is the physical embodiment of the ministry's long-term vision: a place where the Batwa do not merely survive, but flourish. Every structure built, every crop planted, every family welcomed there is a testimony that these people — long forgotten by the world — are not forgotten by God.

A caretaker's duplex now stands on the property, and a well provides clean water for the entire site. The F.M. Spargo Multipurpose Building — a large community structure — is nearing completion. It will serve as a church, an evangelism training center, a school, and a community gathering space, with a full kitchen and bathrooms.

Future development includes a medical center, school buildings, a children's village, a bakery, and staff housing. The vision is not just a campus — it is a community shaped by the gospel, where generational transformation can take root.
